    Naval Ordnance Test Unit

    The commanding officer of the Naval Ordnance Test Unit, Capt. Doug Pratt, handed out several awards during an All Hands gathering at the NOTU Pavilion on Aug. 5.
    Leslie Amodeo, NOTU’s deputy chief engineer, received an “On-the-Spot” Award for putting together a STEM event for youth to participate in at the Lockheed Martin Young Mind at Work event.
    Henri Berthinet, NOTU’s range safety officer, received an “On-the-Spot” Award for his performance in leading and guiding the Range Integration Team.
    Gabe Sladecek, a general engineer, received an “On-the-Spot” Award for taking on additional work to support scheduling, Facility Technical Proficiency Evaluation, and contract management.
    Michael Sherrod, a NOTU quality assurance specialist, received an “On-the-Spot” Award for exceptional work supporting the in-processing procedures for new employees to SPP21 and SPP23.
    Mike Manning, a program manager for Strategic Weapons Systems Ashore, received an “On-the-Spot” Award for his efforts in the repair to the Missile Service Unit’s security sensor, fire alarm detection unit, and telephone systems.
    Ashlee Snodgrass, a general engineer for Strategic Weapons Systems Ashore, received a Time-Off Award for excellent execution of her duties as NOTU’s primary coordinator for the Department of War, Explosive Ordnance Disposal, and Department of Energy Accident Response Group (DOGEAR) Technical Exchange.
    Kenneth Massie, a NOTU quality assurance specialist, received an “On-the-Spot” Award for his exception performance as a quality assurance specialist and the Ordnance Information System Retail Administrator for NOTU.
    Ruben Jaime, a traffic management specialist for NOTU, received an “On-the-Spot” Award for his outstanding performance and initiative with special shipment requirements.
    Hector Suro, a NOTU motor vehicle operator, received an “On-the-Spot” Award for volunteering his time to transport the NOTU 40-mm gun trailer for a Memorial Day event on Merritt Island.
    Roger Williams, a supervisory logistics management specialist for NOTU, received an “On-the-Spot” Award for his outstanding performance and initiative with warehouse operations.
    Seth Malinowski, a NOTU quality assurance specialist, received an “On-the-Spot” Award for his support with United Kingdom C-17 flight operations.
    Ryan Sexton, a supervisory general engineer at NOTU, received an “On-the-Spot” Award for his outstanding dedication in coordinating and executing critical, high-priority projects for NOTU.
    Lt. j.g. Michael Burns, NOTU’s Flight Test Division officer, received the U.S. Navy Information Warfare (IW) insignia.
    Petty Officer 1st Class Blayne Foster, a missile technician assigned to NOTU, received the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal for meritorious service while serving with NOTU’s Test Instrumentation Branch from June 2023 to August 2026.
