Soldiers assigned to the British Army’s 3rd Battalion, The Royal Welsch, react to contact as they participate in Situational Training Exercise (STX) lanes during Northern Strike 26-2, at Camp Grayling, Michigan, Aug. 5, 2026. STX lanes are scenario-driven, mission-oriented field events used to train and evaluate small units on specific tactical tasks. Northern Strike is an Army sponsored, multi-component, multinational exercise designed to build readiness and enhance interoperability to fight and win. Northern Strike 26-2, Michigan’s largest and longest joint readiness exercise, is held from August 1 to 15, 2026 at the National All-Domain Warfighting Center.
