Pictured is the 3rd Marine Expeditionary Brigade building at Camp Courtney, Okinawa, Japan, Aug. 5, 2026. 3rd MEB maintains a forward presence in the Pacific theater, responding to contingencies and strengthening alliances in support of the U.S. national security strategy. This image was captured during an Alert Contingency Marine Air-Ground Task Force drill. The ACM drill was conducted to validate the rapid deployment readiness of 3rd MEB, by testing unit accountability and personal gear readiness under simulated short-notice deployment timelines.
