Sgt. Maj. Clint Sandness, assigned to South Dakota’s Army National Guard, is presented the first overall award for the 600 yard slow fire open event by Sgt. 1st Class Brant Knight, the Marksmanship Advisory Council Region VI (MAC VI) Competition representative and match director, during the closing ceremony of the MAC VI Regional Competition at Camp Guernsey, Wyoming, July 26, 2025. The annual MAC VI Regional Championship brings National Guard Soldiers and Airmen from Alaska, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Oregon, Wyoming and Washington together to enhance combat marksmanship proficiency through realistic, tactically focused rifle and pistol competitions that strengthen interoperability and readiness.
