    U.S. Army Reserve Capt. Brandon LaLonde, Commander, 428th Combat Engineer Company - Infantry (CEC-I) extends the M4 electric firing wire from a M18A1 Claymore Mine, and anti-personnel mine, to a safe distance just beyond the berm prior to a live demonstration for the 365th CEC-I, 412th Theater Engineer Command, and 428th CEC-I, 416th Theater Engineer Command, during Northern Strike 26-2 at Camp Grayling, Mich. Aug. 4, 2026.

    Northern Strike is an Army sponsored, multi-component, multinational exercise designed to build readiness and enhance interoperability with allied forces to fight and win. Northern Strike 26-2, Michigan’s largest and longest exercise designed to validate readiness of the joint reserve force, is held Aug. 1 to 15, 2026 at the National All-Domain Warfighting Center.
