WASHINGTON (Aug. 4, 2026) – Rear Adm. David Faehnle, commandant, Naval District Washington, hosts a Concert on the Avenue at the U.S. Navy Memorial, Aug. 4, 2026. Since 1997, the concert series has highlighted naval history and heritage, honored the Fleet, and paid tribute to the nation’s veterans; featuring performances by the U.S. Navy Band and the U.S. Navy Ceremonial Guard. The event brought together government leaders, foreign naval attachés, sea cadets, and veterans to highlight the rich heritage, unwavering service, and strong sense of community that define the Navy.
