Capt. Desmond Jones, commander of Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment (HHD), 298th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion (CSSB), and 1st Sgt. Kenneth Kittrell, HHD first sergeant, wait to be in-processed after arriving at Camp Grayling Joint Maneuver Training Center, Michigan, on Aug. 1, 2026, in support of Northern Strike 26-2. The 298th CSSB is participating in the exercise for the first time, providing sustainment support while training alongside joint, interagency, and multinational partners.
