U.S. Marine Corps Brigadier Generals, U.S. Navy Rear Admirals, and senior executives with the senior executive service, are rendered honors during the Brigadier General Select Orientation Course (BGSOC) ceremony at Marine Barracks Washington, D.C., Aug. 3, 2026. BGSOC is an annual, weeklong course held in the National Capital Region to instruct newly promoted general officers on their rank and responsibilities.
