    U.S. Army Soldiers from the 428th Combat Engineer Company - Infantry (CEC-I), U.S. Army Reserves, load on to a UH-60 Blackhawk, 1-135th Assault Helicopter Battalion (AHB), Missouri Army National Guard, the Soldiers perform helocast operations during Northern Strike 26-2, at Camp Grayling Mich., Aug. 3, 2026. The Soldiers will be dropped into Lake Margrethe to conduct littoral operations. Northern Strike is an Army-sponsored, multi-component, multinational exercise designed to build readiness and enhance interoperability with allied forces to fight and win. Northern Strike 26-2, Michigan’s largest and longest exercise designed to validate readiness of the joint reserve force is held Aug. 1 to 15, 2026, at the National All-Domain Warfighting Center. The NADWC spans Michigan’s Northern Lower Peninsula, encompassing the capabilities of the Camp Grayling Maneuver Training Center and the Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center and their combined ranges and airspace. This system of training area is the premier location to replicate the future operating training across all domains. The training is conducted by all National Guard members to ensure mission-readiness by improving the skill of Soldiers and Airmen with military duties.
