Stephen Steacy, outgoing commanding officer, Naval Support Activity (NSA) Souda Bay, is awarded the Legion of Merit for his service as commanding officer by Capt. Christopher Schwarz, Chief of Staff, Commander, Navy Region Europe, Africa, Central, during a Change of Command Ceremony onboard NSA Souda Bay, Greece, on Aug. 4, 2026. NSA Souda Bay is an operational ashore installation that enables and supports U.S., Allied, Coalition, and partner nation forces to preserve security and stability in the European, African, and Central Command areas of responsibility.
