Sheila Johnson during the opening Plenary Session and awards ceremony of the Military Health System Research Symposium, Kissimmee, Florida, Aug. 3, 2026. Johnson led the Canine Freeze Dried Plasma development team as part of the Defense Health Agency’s Research, Development & Acquisition/Component Acquisition Executive office. The cFDP team was recognized with the MHSRS Outstanding Program Management (Team) award for their efforts in developing cFDP for battlefield use. MHSRS is the premier military meeting that focuses specifically on the unique medical needs of the deployed Warfighter.
