A M109A7 Paladin from 2nd Platoon, Bravo Battery, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Field Artillery Regiment, prepares to conduct a fire mission with coordination from its platoon leader, 1st Lt. Simon Dellinger, on July 21, 2026.
July 21–22 marked the first round of Artillery Table XI (AT XI), with 2nd Platoon, Bravo Battery, and 1st Platoon, Charlie Battery, training at Forward Operating Station Torun, Poland. Both platoons tested their ability to execute fire missions, conduct survivability moves, treat casualties, perform resupply operations, recover downed vehicles, respond to chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) threats, and react to small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS).
Although AT XI is conducted without live ammunition, the table challenges Soldiers in a high‑stress field environment and validates their readiness. Other batteries in 2-3 FA supported the training: Headquarters and Headquarters Battery established the Main Command Post and Combat Trains Command Post, while Fox Forward Support Battery provided maintenance support to the firing platoons.
AT XI prepares 2-3 FA platoons for the upcoming AT XII, which will include live‑fire operations and additional training.
