Lt. Col. Aaron Anderson, commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District, toured the completed East Breakwater and West Pier projects and met with local stakeholders in Sodus Point, New York, on July 31, 2026, during an Area of Responsibility (AOR) tour alongside project delivery team members, including Resident Engineer Shawn Foster. The visit provided an opportunity to see completed infrastructure improvements firsthand, hear directly from local partners about their impact, and reinforce the Buffalo District's commitment to delivering projects that support safe navigation, strengthen coastal communities, and build lasting relationships with those it serves.
