KINGS BAY, Ga. (July 27, 2026) — The Ohio-class guided-missile submarine USS Georgia (SSGN 729) transits the East River as she returns to her homeport at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Georgia, July 27, 2026. This marks the submarine's final return from operations before officially commencing her scheduled inactivation process on July 31 after 42 years of active service.
