USCGC Vincent Danz Arrives in Homeport of Guam

The Coast Guard Fast Response Cutter Vincent Danz (WPC 1162), named after 9/11 hero Vincent Danz, arrives at homeport at U.S. Coast Guard Forces Micronesia/Sector Guam, Santa Rita, Guam, July 27, 2026. The cutter, commissioned in New York City in May 2026, transited 13,500 nautical miles before reaching Santa Rita. Serving as a critical regional asset, the crew will protect and secure the waterways, execute life-saving search and rescue, combat illegal activity, and strengthen vital partnerships. With the motto of "Never Forget," the cutter honors the legacy of Vincent Danz – a Coast Guard Reserve Port Security Specialist 2nd Class and a New York Police Department Emergency Services Unit (ESU Truck 3) officer who made the ultimate sacrifice responding to the World Trade Center attacks on September 11, 2001. The arrival of the USCGC Vincent Danz and the USCGC Jeffrey Pallazo later this year will bring to six the number of Coast Guard cutters homeported in Guam.
