A group of military personnel, predominantly in U.S. Navy digital camouflage uniforms, are working together to maneuver a large gray metal equipment housing or enclosure outdoors near a building with a garage bay. Several civilians are also present observing or participating in the activity. The equipment bears 'NO STEP' warning labels and appears to be aviation or naval-related hardware.

Sailors from USS Preble (DDG 88), USS Halsey (DDG 97), U.S. Naval Ship Repair Facility and Japan Regional Maintenance Center, and Afloat Training Group Western Pacific participate in the first-ever Optical Dazzling Interdictor, Navy (ODIN) training course at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division’s Directed Energy Systems Integration Laboratory onboard Naval Base Ventura County at Point Mugu in California on June 4. ODIN uses laser technology to interfere with the optical sensors of an enemy unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), causing the UAV to lose its ability to target and navigate. The directed energy system also offers powerful intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance tools. (U.S. Navy photo by Eric Parsons)
