CAMP ZAMA, Japan — Maj. Gen. James K. Dooghan, commanding general, U.S. Army Japan, recognized Lt. Col. Kenshin Ito, liaison officer, Bilateral Coordination Detachment, during an award ceremony July 23 in recognition of his outstanding service and contributions to the U.S.-Japan alliance. During the ceremony, Dooghan thanked Ito for his 24 months of dedicated service at U.S. Army Japan Headquarters, where he played a vital role in strengthening coordination between the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force and USARJ. His efforts through the Bilateral Coordination Detachment enhanced operational collaboration, communication and mutual understanding between the two forces. USARJ extends its sincere appreciation to Lt. Col. Ito for his professionalism, partnership and steadfast commitment to advancing bilateral cooperation.
