The Naval Ordnance Test Unit hosted its quarterly Mission Partners event July 22 to recognize the Sailor and Junior Sailor of the Quarter for the 3rd quarter for fiscal year 2026. Petty Officer 1st Class Liam Joyner, a missile technician, was named Sailor of the Quarter and Petty Officer 2nd Class Olegario Sanchez, an electronic technician navigation, was named the Junior Sailor of the Quarter. Mission Partners who provided presentations to the sailors include: Jason Schneider, representing the Naval Submarine League – Levering Smith Board; John Burg from the U.S. Submarine Vets – Snug Harbor; Dan Levy, representing the Military Officers Association of America – Cape Canaveral Chapter; Brian Fairchild from the Cape Canaveral Veterans of Foreign Wars; Jeanette Ham from the Merritt Island American Legion; Dean Shaaf, representing both the Fleet Reserve Association and the Navy League of the United States; Ana Leonard from the Courtyard by Marriott and Hampton Inn in Cocoa Beach.
