    A U.S. Air Force C-130 Hercules assigned to the 130th Airlift Wing, Charleston, West Virginia conducts a flyover in celebration of the opening ceremony at the Summit Bechtel National Scout Reserve in Glen Jean, West Virginia, July 23, 2026. The National Scout Jamboree is held every four years in the hills of southern West Virginia adjacent to the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve. The event, whose 2026 theme is “Elevate,” will see more than 10,000 Scouts, leaders, staff and volunteers from across the United States for the 10-day Jamboree, featuring outdoor adventures including whitewater rafting, rock climbing, mountain biking, and more.
