U.S. Army Spc. Nathalia Bermudez, a 92A Automated Logistical Specialist assigned to the 1st Battalion, 65th Infantry Regiment, performs tool inventory, preventive maintenance and equipment inspections at the Maneuver Area Training Equipment Site (MATES) during Annual Training at Camp Santiago Joint Training Center, Salinas, Puerto Rico, July 21, 2026. Working alongside MATES personnel, Soldiers conduct preventive maintenance checks and services, diagnostics and repairs to ensure tactical vehicles and equipment remain fully mission capable. These maintenance operations strengthen equipment readiness, improve operational reliability and support the brigade’s ability to sustain mission requirements throughout annual training.
