ATLANTIC OCEAN (July 16, 2026) – Aviation Electrician’s Mate 1st Class Brayden Carpenter, from Angola, Indiana, assigned to the “Jaguars” of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 60, runs diagnostics in the cockpit of an MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter on the flight deck aboard Freedom-variant littoral combat ship USS Cooperstown (LCS 23) as the ship transits the Atlantic Ocean. U.S. Northern Command is working side-by-side with the Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Customs and Border Protection within narrowly defined authorities to provide unique military capabilities to protect the territorial integrity of the U.S. southern border.
