Staff Sgt. Charles Dishman, a platoon sergeant and combat engineer with Combat Engineer Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, was awarded the Purple Heart Medal by Lt. Col. John Osborne, battalion commander for 2nd CEB, during a ceremony aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, July 26, 2013. The Purple Heart is awarded to service members who have been wounded in combat.
