NAVAL STATION NORFOLK, Va. (Jul. 17, 2026) – Capt. John S. Lucas (center right), outgoing commanding officer of Ticonderoga-class guided missile cruiser USS Gettysburg (CG 64), is awarded the legion of merit by Radm. Matthew J. Kawas, commander of Carrier Strike Group 8, during the ship’s change of command ceremony at Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia. Capt. Keith T. Turner relieved Capt. John S.
