U.S. Army Spc. Destinee Board and Sgt. Jacey Sheppard with the 1729th Support Maintenance Company, 130th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade (MEB), assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border in support of Operation Ardent Vanguard, demonstrate the capabilities of a Dronebuster handheld counter-unmanned aircraft system to the 130th MEB Command team during a training a training demonstration in Del Rio, Texas, June 19, 2026. The Dronebuster is used to detect, track, and neutralize drones of transnational criminal organizations attempting to conduct monitoring on the U.S. southern border. U.S. Northern Command is working side-by-side with the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection within narrowly defined authorities to provide unique military capabilities to protect the territorial integrity of the U.S. southern border.
