    734th Regional Support Group

Soldiers with the 734th Regional Support Group (RSG) conducted a patching ceremony at Fort Hood, Texas, on July 17, 2026, authorizing Soldiers to wear a color patch in garrison on Fridays during mobilization in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve. Up until the early 20th century Soldiers wore brightly colored patches that fostered pride and esprit de corps within units. Recently that tradition has returned and instead of wearing the subdued patch, many commands allow the color patch on Fridays or during ceremonies.
