Ebbing Fire Station Captain Adam Crowe (Left) helped Estonian Air Force Reserve Tech. Sgt. Raimond Pikker into the fire fighter gear used at Ebbing Air National Guard Base (ANGB).
Pikker visited Ebbing ANGB, Fort Smith, Ark. in July, 2026, as part of the annual Military Reserve Exchange Program. The MREP partners with allied nations to embed Reserve and Guard members with foreign units to expand interoperability.
U.S. Air Force Senior Master Sgt. Brandon Djordjevic, 188th Operations Group superintendent, served as Pikker’s exchange partner. During the bilateral exchange, Djordjevic traveled to Estonia to visit the Estonian Air Force Headquarters in Tallinn, Ämari Air Base, Muhu Island, the Cyber Warfare Unit, and counter-unmanned aerial systems facilities.
Djordjevic then hosted Pikker at Ebbing ANGB, where the Estonian partner embedded with the 188th Operations Group, Ebbing Fire Department, 188th Civil Engineer Squadron, 188th Security Forces Squadron, and the 188th Medical Group. He also toured the local Fort Smith community.
Both service members noted that the exchange brought innovative ideas and diverse experiences to their home stations, ultimately bolstering security cooperation between the U.S. and its NATO allies.
