U.S. Air Force Capt. Dana Magyarics and Capt. Erin Patinella, both from Scott Air Force Base in southern Illinois, participate in the July 4 North Riverside Independence Day Parade. World War II veteran Frank Veselak, 100, served as the Parade Marshall. He served in the Army Air Corps from 1944-1946, then worked for Sears Roebuck for years. After retiring in his 60s, he volunteers for the Brookfield Zoo. He's been volunteering at the zoo for more than 40 years. The parade was held on July 4. (U.S. Army photo by Lt. Col.
