U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the 41st Field Artillery Regiment conducted team physical training events, including an 800m run, sled drag, and a ruck march carrying water cans and kettlebells to encourage team building in Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany, July 15, 2026. Soldiers conduct physical training events to prepare for the upcoming North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Winter Instructor Course (NWIC) qualification. During the NWIC in Norway, Soldiers are provided with knowledge and skills to fight, move, and maintain combat readiness in arctic environments. Upon completion of the course, participants are certified to train their formations in the tactical and technical skills required to maneuver, survive, and leverage the unique conditions of snow, ice, and challenging terrain.
