U.S. Air Force Airmen run a 2-mile course during the 435th Security Forces Squadron Air Assault assessment on Ramstein Air Base, Germany, July 9, 2026. Air Assault School candidates executed a series of timed tests to include a 2-mile run, 12-mile ruck march, rope climb and rappelling operations. The assessments prepare Airmen for Air Assault School by testing their physical fitness and ability to perform under pressure ensuring they are ready to meet the demands of the course and future missions.
