GULF OF AMERICA (June 19, 2026) – Naval Air Crewman 3rd Class Gabriel Ramirez, assigned to the “Jaguars” of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 60, from Phoenix, inspects the tail rotor on an MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter on the flight deck aboard Freedom-variant littoral combat ship USS Cooperstown (LCS 23) as the ship sails across the Gulf of America. U.S. Northern Command is working side-by-side with the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection within narrowly defined authorities to provide unique military capabilities to protect the territorial integrity of the U.S. southern border.
