Pennsylvania is assigned to Commander, Submarine Group (COMSUBGRU) 9 which exercises tactical and administrative control authority for assigned submarine commands and units in the Pacific Northwest providing oversight for shipboard training, personnel, supply, and material readiness of submarines and their crews.
