Civilian contractors tie chains to a HESCO barrier to safely lift it up at National Defense Area 2 near Fort Hancock, Texas, July 13, 2026. The barriers are prepared for emplacement as part of ongoing barrier reinforcement efforts along the U.S. southern border.
