The image is taken from the deck of a red boat looking out over vivid turquoise water toward a rocky shoreline lined with tall, slender trees. A single swimmer or snorkeler is visible in the middle distance, floating on the surface of the water. The scene suggests a recreational water activity in a tropical or subtropical coastal environment.

USCGC Myrtle Hazard (WPC 1139) and Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit Five team run sonar in the waters of Rota’s harbors to look for obstructions on July 11, 2026, allowing the Captain of the Port to lift restrictions, restoring maritime commerce flow. The U.S. Coast Guard is coordinating with port partners to address already identified hazards and new issues following Super Typhoon Bavi. Multiple navigational aids are reportedly discrepant, off station, or simply missing. (U.S. Coast Guard photo by Lt. Drew Lovullo)
