David Sayers, Senior Enlisted Advisor of the 364th Expeditionary Sustainment Command, speak with Soldiers during a visit to a full-scale mass casualty exercise simulating local hospital responses to a catastrophic hurricane scenario during the Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2026 exercise at Ford Island, Hawaii, July 9, 2026. Cain and Sayers visited the exercise site to engage with 364th ESC Soldiers supporting the mass casualty training event, which prepares medical personnel and partner nation forces to respond effectively to large-scale casualty situations. Thirty nations, over 30 surface ships, five submarines, 15 national land forces, more than 206 aircraft and 30,000 personnel are participating in RIMPAC in and around the Hawaiian Islands, June 24 to July 31. The world's largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC provides a unique training opportunity while fostering and sustaining cooperative relationships among participants critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the world's oceans.
