BREMERTON, Wash. – Members of the Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command (NMRTC) Bremerton triad, alongside Naval Hospital Bremerton (NHB) staff and their families, hit the pavement to complete the symbolic first 1.776 miles of a new command-wide fitness initiative, July 1, 2026. The gathering marked the official kickoff of a 250-mile team fitness challenge dedicated to honoring America’s 250th birthday. Coordinated by the NHB Health Promotion and Wellness Center, the month-long event transforms a historic milestone into a high-energy test of endurance, pushing teams to outpace their goals while building deep-rooted command camaraderie. By combining teamwork with wellness, the center hopes to keep the command moving and motivated as they log their miles throughout the month to celebrate the nation’s semiquincentennial milestone.
