Australian distinguished visitors observe an EA-18G Growler from the Shadowhawks of Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 141 launch from the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73). George Washington, and its embarked air wing, Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5, are participating in exercise Talisman Saber 2013. The exercise is a biennial training event aimed at improving Australian Defense Force (ADF) and U.S. combat readiness and interoperability as a combined joint task force.
