    A U.S. Marine Corps AH-1Z Viper from Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron (HMLA) 167, Marine Aircraft Group 29, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, provides fire support to ground troops during exercise Mjolnir Strike at Bombing Target 11 on Piney Island, North Carolina, July 1, 2026. Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point’s outlying fields and ranges, such as BT-11, are frequently used locations for quality training by the Department of War and U.S. allies. Mjolnir Strike is joint terminal attack controller training that is instrumental in the success of the Marine Air-Ground Task Force by providing realistic training opportunities.
