Rear Adm. Michael York, commander, NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support, presented commendation medals to Marine Corps Capt. Aleksandar Yaramus and Navy Lt. Tyler Rea on July 1, 2026, for their exceptional supply chain achievements and contributions to fleet lethality and readiness during their tours from 2024 to 2026 at Naval Support Activity Mechanicsburg.
Yaramus was commended for his vital support to Carrier Strike Groups and Littoral Combat Ships, validating thousands of insurance items and successfully managing new inventory optimization targets. Rea was recognized for his leadership in the Nuclear Reactors Supply Chain Management Directorate, where he guided supply support for submarine and carrier overhauls, spearheaded the resolution of over 1,000 high-priority requisitions and correcting a major storage issue and preventing multiyear delays.
Their dedication exemplifies the warrior ethos and ensures the Navy remains forged to fight.
