Julie Sargent, 335th Training Squadron instructor, accepts a certificate with 81st Training Wing leadership, 81st Training Group leadership and Airmen during the Warrior of the Week presentation at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi, July 1, 2026. As a precision measurement equipment laboratory instructor, she was instrumental in launching the 81st TRG’s first competency course, ensuring all scheduled benchmarks were met while simultaneously completing her own rigorous teaching qualifications. Prior to the course redesign, Sargent already qualified to instruct over half of the previous 18-block PMEL curriculum. She acted as a hands-on member of the team during a massive equipment turn-in, physically assisting in the movement of gas tanks, meters and millions of dollars’ worth of inventory.
