The remains of Pvt. 1st Class James Heigh are removed from the plane during the dignified arrival ceremony.
On May 14, 2026, the Fort Meade Military Funeral Honors team assembled at the Baltimore-Washington International Airport for the dignified arrival ceremony of Pvt. 1st Class James Heigh. Killed in action in Italy, Heigh served with the 371st Infantry Regiment, 92nd Infantry Division. His remains were identified by the Defense/POW Accounting Agency on May 2, 2025.
