An injured young kestral sits on the ground, June 25, 2026, 104th Fighter Wing, Westfield, MA. Wildlife management is a major part of flight line safety and keeping birds out of the path of flying jets is critical. The young kestrel is now in expert care of Tom Ricardi at the Massachusetts Birds of Prey Rehabilitation Facility in Conway, MA, where he will be nursed back to health and eventually released back into the wild.
