U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Andrew Shoenfeld, the marketing and communications officer for 8th Marine Corps District, is recognized during his going away ceremony aboard Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base, Fort Worth, Texas, July 2, 2026. The Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal was awarded to Shoenfeld to recognize his outstanding performance and dedication during his four years in billets vastly different from his occupational specialty. Shoenfeld directly contributed to successful recruiting operations during his time as the executive officer of Recruiting Station San Antonnio and as the marketing and communications officer of 8th Marine Corps District.
