A middle-aged bald man with a goatee is speaking or presenting in what appears to be a formal living room or parlor setting. He is dressed in a dark blazer, white dress shirt, and floral/paisley tie, with one hand raised in a gesturing motion. A blurred figure in the foreground suggests he is addressing an audience.

Steve Byington, 88th Civil Engineer group cultural resources manager, provides a tour of the Arnold House during this year’s Honorary Commander capstone event, May 26, 2026, on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. The Arnold House is the oldest house on base, built in 1841 and serves as a symbol of Air Force history. The house is named after Gen. Henry Harley “Hap” Arnold, who played a major role in establishing the U.S. Air Force. Arnold was a major at the time he moved into the home, and he resided there from 1929 to 1932. Since then, it has been utilized as a residence, office, and event space. (U.S. Air Force Photo by Ashley Richards)
