YOKOSUKA, Japan (April 28, 2026) — Active-duty personnel experienced a significant lift in their spirits while interacting with therapy dogs as part of the American Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces (SAF) Animal Visitation Program (AVP). This program, which operates globally, provides emotional support to service members and their families, whether they are stationed across the United States or deployed overseas.
