Soldiers from Munson Army Health Center’s Department of Public Health use a special monitor to measure the Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) to determine the daily heat category on Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, June 29. Much of the Midwest is currently under heat advisories as dangerously hot temperatures and high humidity increase the risk of heat related illness.
