The heart of the Change of Command ceremony is the passing of the colors by the Program Manager being relieved, Colonel Kate Fleeger, to the incoming Program Manager, Colonel Joshua Wort. The colors symbolize the authority and accountability of Command. On stage from left is Major General David Walsh, Deputy Portfolio Acquisitions Executive (Aviation), Marine Corps Aviation, and Lieutenant General Gregory Masiello, Program Executive Officer, F-35 Joint Program Office.
