Sailors assigned to Navy Cargo Handling Battalion 1’s Surface Cargo Company and the 2nd Navy Expeditionary Logistics Regiment conduct cargo-handling and ship-to-shore movement operations during Maritime Prepositioning Force Exercise 2026 at Blount Island Command in Jacksonville, Florida, May 2026. NCHB-1 Sailors executed pier-side crane, onload and backload evolutions, while 2nd NELR Sailors augmented the battalion and gained hands-on training to improve interoperability and expeditionary logistics readiness.
