FLEET ACTIVITIES YOKOSUKA, Japan (June 14, 2026) -- Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka Public Works Department (CFAY PWD) and Naval Facilities (NAVFAC) Far East personnel remove the decorative sign in front of Club Alliance June 14, 2026 to make way for the installation's Water Line Repair scheduled later in the week. The sign had a plaque dated in March 1983 identifying it simply as "Monument Construction." It was installed following the completion of the New Club Alliance's construction. The club hosted a grand opening ceremony May 27, 1983 after relocating from it's previous location where the Yokosuka Arts Theatre and Hotel Mercure currently reside.
