Sailors assigned to Navy Medicine Readiness Training Command San Diego participate in a Corpsman Cup Run at Balboa Park in celebration of the 128th birthday of the Hospital Corpsman rate, June 17, 2026. The run honored the legacy, service, and sacrifice of generations of hospital corpsmen who have provided life-saving medical care to Sailors and Marines around the world since the establishment of the rate on June 17, 1898. NMCSD employs more than 5,500 active-duty military personnel, civilians, and contractors dedicated to delivering exceptional care afloat and ashore while maintaining medical readiness across the fleet.
