FLEET ACTIVITIES YOKOSUKA, Japan (June 8, 2026) - A Commander, Fleet Activities Works Yokosuka Public Works Department (CFAY PWD) environmental management systems specialist collects a water sample at a testing site June 8, 2026. This recurring sampling program covers various analytes and evaluate those components against quality standards to make sure CFAY water meets and exceeds U.S. and Japanese quality standards. For more than 75 years, CFAY has provided, maintained, and operated base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet’s forward-deployed naval forces, tenant commands, and thousands of military and civilian personnel and their families.
